Privacy Policy for Cozy Crumbs
PixelApollo ("we", "our", or "us") operates Cozy Crumbs, an Android mobile game.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Cozy Crumbs.
Cozy Crumbs includes the TikTok App Events SDK, which measures app installs and app launches so that we can understand how our advertising for Cozy Crumbs performs. That measurement runs only if you choose to allow it, and it is described in detail below.
App Information
- App name
- Cozy Crumbs
- Developer
- PixelApollo
- Android package
- com.pixelapollo.cozycrumbs
Information You Provide Directly
Cozy Crumbs does not have an account, login, or registration system, and does not require you to create an account to play.
We do not ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, messages, photos or videos, financial information, or health information. The game contains no sign-up forms, no contact importers, and no media pickers.
Cozy Crumbs does not request Android location permissions, camera access, microphone access, contacts access, or access to your photo library.
Game Data Stored on Your Device
Your game progress, settings, and preferences are written to a save file in the application's private storage area on your own device.
PixelApollo does not operate cloud saving, an online profile, or a personal-data database for Cozy Crumbs. Your save data is not uploaded to us and is not synchronised between devices.
The game itself makes no network requests. The only component in Cozy Crumbs that communicates over the internet is the TikTok App Events SDK, and it does so only if you allow measurement, as described in the two sections below.
Your Privacy Measurement Choice
Cozy Crumbs uses the TikTok App Events SDK only if you choose Allow in the in-game Privacy & Measurement dialog, which is shown when you first play. Before you allow it, the SDK is not initialised and TikTok measurement data is not transmitted.
If you choose Not Now, TikTok measurement remains disabled, no TikTok events are sent, and you can continue to use all game features normally. Allowing measurement is never a condition of playing, and the dialog does not return once you have made a choice.
Your choice is stored locally on your device — in the game's own save file, and in the application's private Android preferences so that the game can act on it from the moment it starts. Your choice is not transmitted to PixelApollo, and we do not operate a server that records it.
You can change your decision at any time under Privacy Measurement in the game's Settings, which also shows whether measurement is currently enabled or disabled.
If you disable Privacy Measurement after TikTok measurement has already started during the current app session, your updated choice is saved immediately and becomes fully effective the next time Cozy Crumbs is launched. We do not attempt to shut the SDK down in the middle of a running session, because that is not a supported operation and could destabilise the game.
This choice is offered to everyone who plays Cozy Crumbs, in every country, and is not limited to any particular region.
Google Play's Data Safety listing for Cozy Crumbs marks approximate location, app interactions, and device or other identifiers as optional. That reflects this choice: those categories may be processed only if you allow Privacy Measurement, and are not processed if you do not.
TikTok App Events SDK
Cozy Crumbs includes the TikTok App Events SDK (TikTok Business Android SDK, version 1.5.0), provided by TikTok. It is initialised only after you allow measurement, as described in Your Privacy Measurement Choice above; everything in this section describes what happens once you have allowed it.
Why we use it. We advertise Cozy Crumbs on TikTok. The SDK lets us understand whether people who saw one of those advertisements went on to install and open the game. We use it for install attribution, advertising campaign measurement, basic app analytics, and campaign optimisation. It does not change how the game plays.
What it reports. Once measurement is allowed, our integration uses only the automatic app events provided by the SDK. These are:
- InstallApp – the first launch following installation.
- LaunchAPP – the application being opened.
- 2Dretention – whether the application was opened again on the day after installation.
We have not implemented any custom or gameplay events. Cozy Crumbs does not report your merges, orders, levels, progress, purchases, checkouts, or any other in-game action to TikTok.
Technical information the SDK may process. In order to attribute and measure those events, the SDK may process and transmit to TikTok categories of technical information including:
- an advertising identifier, where one is available and its use is permitted (see below);
- an anonymous identifier generated by the SDK on your device, and a session identifier;
- the application package name, application version name, and version code;
- the SDK name and version, and related technical event metadata;
- device model, Android operating-system version, and platform;
- screen size and display scale, and the device user-agent string;
- language, locale, and region settings;
- network connection information, such as connection type;
- event timestamps;
- Google Play install-referrer information (see below);
- IP and network information, from which an approximate location may be inferred (see below);
- attribution and advertising campaign information.
TikTok acts independently in respect of the information it receives through the SDK. Its own handling of that information is governed by TikTok's policies, which are linked below, and TikTok may change its own processing independently of us.
Advertising and Device Identifiers
Cozy Crumbs declares the Android advertising ID permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID) because the TikTok App Events SDK uses it when you have allowed measurement.
Depending on your Android version and privacy settings, the advertising identifier may be unavailable, reset, deleted, or otherwise restricted. Where an advertising identifier is available and its use is permitted, the TikTok App Events SDK may use it for attribution and measurement. Controls for the advertising identifier, including resetting it and opting out of ad personalisation, are provided in the Android system settings on your device.
Cozy Crumbs does not read your device's hardware serial number, IMEI, MAC address, or Android ID, and does not use identifiers tied to any signed-in account on the device.
Google Play Install Referrer
Cozy Crumbs includes the Google Play Install Referrer library (version 2.2). If you have allowed measurement, the TikTok App Events SDK may read the install-referrer information that Google Play associates with your installation and send it to TikTok.
Install-referrer information describes how the installation was reached — for example, which campaign or referral link led to it. It is used to attribute an install to an advertising campaign. It does not contain your name, email address, or phone number.
IP Address and Approximate Location
Cozy Crumbs does not request the Android precise location permission (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION) or the approximate location permission (ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION), and does not use GPS, Wi-Fi scanning, or Bluetooth scanning to determine where you are.
However, as with any internet connection, the network requests made by the TikTok App Events SDK carry your device's IP address to TikTok's servers. TikTok may infer an approximate location, such as country or region, from that IP and network information. We therefore disclose approximate location as a category of information that may be processed — if you allow measurement — even though the game never asks for a location permission.
Enhanced Data Postback
The TikTok App Events SDK offers an optional feature called Enhanced Data Postback, which can automatically observe in-app interface activity such as screen views, button taps, and touch positions.
This feature is disabled in Cozy Crumbs. Our integration explicitly turns off automatic Enhanced Data Postback, and it also disables the SDK's regular internal monitoring reporting. As configured by us, the SDK therefore does not capture interface labels, screen contents, button clicks, touch coordinates, or similar interface metadata from Cozy Crumbs.
This statement describes our own configuration of the SDK. We cannot guarantee the future behaviour of software we do not control; if we change this configuration in a later version of Cozy Crumbs, we will update this policy.
No Account or Profile Identification
The TikTok App Events SDK provides an identify() method that an application can use to send user identity details — such as an email address, phone number, external user ID, or username — to TikTok.
Cozy Crumbs never calls this method. The game has no account system and holds no such details, so no email address, phone number, username, external account ID, or TikTok profile identity is sent by Cozy Crumbs. We also do not report logins, registrations, purchases, or checkouts, because the game does not have those features.
Third-Party Services
The third-party service integrated into Cozy Crumbs is:
- TikTok
- TikTok App Events SDK, used for install attribution, advertising campaign measurement, analytics, and campaign optimisation.
Information about TikTok's handling of this information is available here:
Cozy Crumbs does not integrate any other analytics, crash-reporting, social, or advertising SDK.
Advertising Inside the Game
The word "advertising" covers two different things here, so it is worth stating the difference plainly.
Cozy Crumbs does not display third-party advertising. The current version of the game shows no banner advertisements, no interstitial advertisements, and no rewarded advertisements, and it contains no advertisement-serving SDK. No TikTok advertising is shown inside Cozy Crumbs.
The TikTok App Events SDK measures our advertising elsewhere. It exists so that advertising we run outside the game — advertisements promoting Cozy Crumbs on TikTok — can be attributed, measured, and optimised. It does not serve advertisements within the application.
If advertising or other third-party services are added to a future version of Cozy Crumbs, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.
Data Security
Where you have allowed measurement, Cozy Crumbs transmits app-event data to TikTok over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections, as documented for the TikTok App Events SDK.
The application disables Android cleartext (unencrypted HTTP) network traffic in its network security configuration, so unencrypted connections are not permitted from Cozy Crumbs.
Your game progress and preferences remain in the application's private storage on your device. PixelApollo does not operate a user account system or personal-data database for Cozy Crumbs.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
Game progress and preferences remain stored on your device until you remove them. You can delete them by clearing the application's data through Android settings, or by uninstalling the application.
Event data processed by TikTok through the App Events SDK is held by TikTok and is subject to TikTok's applicable retention practices and policies, which are linked in the Third-Party Services section above. PixelApollo does not set or control those retention periods.
Data Deletion and Requests
You can delete all locally stored Cozy Crumbs data at any time by clearing the application's data in Android settings or by uninstalling the game. Because that data never leaves your device, no request to us is needed.
You can stop further TikTok measurement at any time by setting Privacy Measurement to disabled in the game's Settings. Your choice is saved immediately and takes full effect from the next launch of the game. You can also stop or limit the identifier used for attribution by resetting or deleting your advertising ID in the Android system settings on your device.
If you have a privacy question or request about Cozy Crumbs, contact us at the address in the Contact section below.
Please note that information held by TikTok is controlled by TikTok rather than by PixelApollo, and we cannot directly access or delete it on your behalf. Requests concerning TikTok-held information may need to be made through TikTok's own privacy mechanisms, as described in the TikTok policies linked above. We will assist by directing you to the appropriate channel.
Children's Privacy
Cozy Crumbs is not specifically directed at children under 13.
We do not knowingly request or collect personal information directly from children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if Cozy Crumbs changes, third-party services are introduced or removed, or legal or platform requirements change.
Any changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
